The Airpark

Our 80 acre air park allows space for simultaneous flying training: 

  • Hang gliding lessons,
  • Paragliding lessons,
  • Microlight lessons
  • Paramotor lessons
  • Aerotow courses
  • Air experience flights.

Darley Moor Airfield takes all wind directions and is conveniently situated in South Derbyshire, near Ashbourne - the gateway to the Peak District National Park.

Lecture rooms

If the weather deteriorates you can retreat to our lecture room for theory sessions on all aspects of flying.

Flying shop

Our fully stocked flying shop has everything you need to get in the air, and much more. Our experienced instructors will help you to choose what you need for your stage of flying.

The Aviator Café


Aviator's Bistro at Darley Moor Airfield

Our club-room is unique within the the world of free flight schools, with comfortable seating, and homemade refreshments available throughout the day from the Aviator's Cafe. Serving a selection of food and drinks, you can have a full English breakfast, or Sunday lunch, or just a snack. 

Bring the family to watch you fly - they can watch from the viewing deck, or from inside the café.

Airsports Club

Once you complete your course we don’t abandon you. All our students automatically become members of Darley Moor Airsports Club.

The Airsports Club aims to offer you continuous development through a programme of lectures and progressive teaching courses. It will also introduce you to the local flying clubs, the Peak Soaring Club and the Derbyshire Soaring Club for paraglider and hang glider pilots wishing to fly the hills.
